In Budapest we can find the Zugligeti Lóvasút building heated with ecoGEO heat pumps. The construction of this building dates from the late nineteenth century, being at first the final railway station on horseback. Later, it would end up becoming a simple stop that included in its interior other types of services within the facilities, such as a post office. Finally in 1977 it loses all its functionality and is abandoned.

After several attempts, a reconstruction project is finally approved and the building becomes a museum with coffee shop and restaurant. Two high-power Ecoforest geothermal heat pumps were installed to service this building: ecoGEO HP1 12-40 kW and ecoGEO HP3 15-70 kW.

The ecoGEO HP1 geothermal heat pump is used for the production of domestic hot water and heating, while the ecoGEO HP3 is used for cooling and heating. In this system installation there is an extra element, an additional heat exchanger for the production of passive cooling. This heat exchanger is managed by the ecoGEO HP1 12-40 kW heat pump to help the other heat pump in the summer functions. For the brine system 24 vertical geothermal wells with a depth of 80 meters each have been made.

Another example of rehabilitation, in a high-power installation, and where the performance and the null visual impact makes geothermal heat pumps the ideal solution
